About

Every Australian home deserves a living record.

Home Logbook assembles government data, market records and your own documents into one clear view — a report when you’re deciding, a logbook for as long as you own.

Our mission

Knowledge creates better homeowners.

Australia has some of the best public property data in the world — planning records, environmental overlays, hazard assessments, sales history — but it’s scattered across dozens of government portals, each with its own interface and format.

We built Home Logbook to bring it together. One address, one view, one living record. Whether you’re buying your first property or maintaining the home you’ve lived in for decades, you deserve to know what’s really going on with it.

Why the record matters

Homes outlive the folders made for them.

Owners change. Email accounts close. Paperwork disappears. We are building a property record that keeps useful context with the address while leaving private information behind.

What we believe

Principles that put homeowners first.

(01)

Transparency first

Every data point is sourced and cited. The report says where each figure comes from, and says "not yet mapped" when a source hasn't assessed the lot — never a false all-clear.
(02)

Privacy by design

Your property data stays yours. We don't sell your information, share it with agents, or use it for advertising.
(03)

Open data, better decisions

Australia's public property data is excellent but scattered across dozens of portals. We assemble it into one clear view.
(04)

Built for Australia

Zoning, DAs, overlays, BAL ratings, strata — every feature is designed around how Australian property actually works.
(05)

AI that helps, not hypes

AI reads the public record and the photos you add — to identify materials and surface useful detail, not to inflate estimates or write sales copy.
(06)

Honest estimates

A range with a confidence label, built from index-adjusted comparable sales. An estimate is not a valuation, and we say so.

How it works

From address to record.

01

Enter any address

We assemble planning, hazard, sales and market layers from government and market sources — in about a minute.
02

Read the full picture

Zoning, overlays, DA history, sales record, schools and an honest estimate — with each figure's source class named.
03

Keep it as a logbook

Convert the report into a living record: documents, warranties, materials and maintenance, growing with the home.

Data & trust

Where the data comes from.

(01)

State planning portals

Zoning, height limits, floor-space ratios and planning overlays under each local environmental plan.
(02)

Hazard mapping

Flood, bushfire and heritage screening — reported in three states: clear, on record, or not yet mapped.
(03)

The national address file

Australia's endorsed geocoded address dataset anchors every report to the right lot.
(04)

Recorded sales and market data

Sales history, comparable sales and suburb statistics behind the estimate and its confidence range.
(05)

Your own records

Photos, documents, invoices and warranties you add — the half of the record only an owner can supply.
