What is Home Logbook?
The living record of a home: available property facts, documents, materials, maintenance and value history in one place.
What can I see without an account?
The property snapshot is free and gives you an estimated range, selected natural-hazard findings, the last recorded sale date and price, and zoning in plain English. No signup is required.
Is the snapshot the same as the property report?
No. The snapshot is a short first read. The $29.99 report contains more than 40 property data points.
Can I search a home I do not own?
Yes. You can search any Australian residential address, subject to address matching and available data coverage.
Reports and data
How much is a property report?
A report is $29.99 for one property. It is also included with the 7-day Pro trial and an active Pro subscription.
Is the estimated range a valuation?
No. It is a computer-generated range based on available comparable sales and market data, not a professional valuation or sale-price guarantee.
What do the hazard states mean?
“Assessed — exposure found” means available mapping returned exposure. “Assessed — clear” means no exposure was identified. “Not yet mapped” means a dependable result was unavailable.
Does “not yet mapped” mean the property is clear?
No. It means the result is unknown. Missing mapping is never converted into a clear assessment.
How current is the information?
Different datasets update on different schedules. Relevant dates and coverage notes should stay beside the result they qualify.
What if something in a report looks wrong?
Contact us with the property address, report section and what appears inconsistent. Property records can be incomplete, delayed or mismatched.
Does the report replace professional due diligence?
No. It does not replace contract review, inspections, finance, insurance, council confirmation, a survey or professional advice.
Trial and pro
What is included in the 7-day Pro trial?
Seven days of the full logbook, no credit card required. Forward documents straight to your logbook and they file themselves. The property report is a separate purchase, or included with Pro.
Will I be charged automatically?
No. No credit card is required, so the trial cannot become a paid subscription unless you choose one.
What happens after the trial?
If you subscribe, editing and ongoing tracking continue. Otherwise, the record remains available to read.
How much is Pro?
Pro is $19 per month or $182.40 per year.
Is there a $0 plan?
No. The property snapshot is free and the Pro trial lasts seven days. Read access afterwards is an account state, not a separate plan.
The logbook
What can I keep in the logbook?
Receipts, warranties, manuals, materials, completed work, maintenance dates and value-history records associated with the home.
How does document scanning work?
Photograph or upload paperwork and Home Logbook suggests how to file it. Review all suggested fields before saving.
Does Home Logbook replace the original document?
No. The logbook helps organise source documents; it does not change their legal, financial or practical status.
How is the maintenance calendar created?
Maintenance is organised around the systems, materials and appliances recorded for that home, then adjusted by the owner.
Buying and selling
Can I buy a report without subscribing?
Yes. Buyers can purchase a $29.99 point-in-time report without starting Pro.
Can a report tell me whether to make an offer?
No. It can provide facts and next questions. The offer remains your decision beside inspections, the contract, finance and advice.
How does Home Logbook help when selling?
A seller can organise documents, materials, service history and completed work into a record prepared for handover.
Does the logbook replace seller disclosure?
No. It is an organised property record, not a substitute for any contract, disclosure or legal requirement.
